Tie Dye DIY
In this social distancing age, we’re obviously trying to find fun projects to keep the kids busy. While this ended up being mostly a project for Georgia, it was super fun to put together these tie dye shirts and shorts and I figured linking up the kit we used would be beneficial if I plan on posting about it at all! Excuse the iPhone quality photos!
Here’s the link to the tie dye kit we used off of Amazon. It was perfect, came with the necessary items to cover a table and a bunch of gloves and rubberbands too. I grabbed Georgia’s tank and bicycle shorts at Target. Same goes for Bodie’s tee and mine! Note that you want your tees to be mostly cotton – these bicycle shorts didn’t want to hold the dye as well because they’re a bit more stretchy, but I’m still happy with how they turned out! There are plenty of YouTube tutorials and I will admit it was messier than I had hoped, but the perfect outdoor activity for any day in quarantine, and clearly Georgia is enjoying her outfit.
