Workouts I’m Loving

Now that I’ve shared my favorite workout looks, I’ve been getting back in the home gym and taking a few barre classes and it feels SO good, mentally and physically. My heart is always with Pure Barre and running, but I love a gym session too and it’s so fun to work with weights and get my pump on (within reason). Do you follow Beth Chappo on Instagram? From her workouts, to her food, to her amazing athleisure outfits (and sneakers!), I’m always so inspired when I check out her page.

Today I’m sharing some of the interval workouts I’ve been doing and it goes without saying, but consult your doctor before working out. I’m by no means a professional as it pertains to programming this type of workout and I typically hunt these down on the #HIIT hashtag on Instagram and listen to my body. I just made these pretty so you can screenshot them!

I love interval workouts on the treadmill primarily because I get so bored on there! I blast music or watch Netflix but even still, I need to play around with pushes and paces. I included one that’s quick & dirty and another longer, 40-minute option.

I’ve also been playing around with more CrossFit-style workouts and thankfully, my husband programs these for me and has worked with me on form so I don’t injure myself! You have to listen to your body and it took some time for me to comfortable with these weights… and box jumps. Anyone else terrified of jumping?

Since becoming a mom I’ve definitely had ebbs and flows when it comes to my fitness. But trying to eat better (generally) and get a workout in has become so much more important to me, and I just wake up feeling better when I’m working out. What’s your favorite way to stay active?
